Brown University's Evan Cranston Named the February 20 Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Goalkeeper Evan Cranston (Fr., Palo Alto, Calif./ Castilleja) of Brown University made 35 saves in 13 quarters of work at the Bucknell Invitational to earn the February 20 Women's Varsity Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Cranston added three steals and a pair of helpers to her 35-save, four-win weekend. She played one quarter in a victory over Gannon University (W, 20-6), making four stops. She was dialed-in against Bucknell College (W, 8-7), making 10 stops before collecting nine saves against Marist College (W, 7-5). The rookie concluded the weekend with a 12-save performance against Wagner College (W, 12-11).

The award marks the first weekly accolade in Cranston's young career.
