28 Collegiate Water Polo Association Institutions Appear on QS World University Rankings

LONDON, England -- 28 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) institutions rank among the Top 100 colleges/universities in the world according to the the 2011-12 QS World University Rankings.
Following the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom which tops the rankings, three Collegiate Water Polo Association schools stand at No. 2-to-4 as Harvard University (men's varsity/women's varsity), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (men's varsity/women's club) and Yale University (mens' club/women's club) join the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom to complete the Top Five schools on the globe.
The Imperial College London in the United Kingdom, University College London in the United Kingdom, University of Chicago rank at No. 6-to-8, while the University of Pennsylvania (men's club/women's club) and Columbia University (men's club/women's club) rate at No. 9 and 10, respectively.

The QS World University Rankings currently considers over 2,000 and evaluates over 700 universities in the world, ranking the top 400 with a methodology that considers six indicators:
- 40% Academic Reputation from Global Survey
- 10% Employer Reputation from Global Survey
- 20% Citatations Per Faculty from Sciverse Scopus
- 20% Faculty Student Ratio
- 5% Proportion of Inernational Students
- 5% Proportion of International Faculty
In addition, rankings in five broad faculty areas are produced: Arts & Humanities, Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences & Medicine, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences & Management. These are based entirely on the results of our global academic survey unlike the more sophisticated approach taken to derive the QS World University Rankings by Subject.
