GAME 8: PENNSYLVANIA 13, OREGON 8

Penn's Christopher Buck scored four goals to earn Player of the Game honors against Oregon

TUCSON, ARIZONA - The University of Pennsylvania's Christopher Buck (So., Ann Arbor, MI) scored four goals to lead the Quakers to a 13-8 win over the University of Oregon in the final first round game of the 2007 National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of Arizona.

Buck combined with his brother, Patrick, to tally six of Penn's 13 goals as the Quakers built a 7-4 halftime lead and pulled away for the five-goal victory.

Penn will next be in action against the nation's #1 team and defending national champion, Michigan State University, at 9:00 a.m. on November 10, while Oregon will square off with Arizona State University at 9:50 tonight.

The story of the game was Penn's ability to work the game clock and move the ball as the Quakers never trailed in the game and used a 5-3 advantage in the first period to take the lead and never look back.

Benjamin Naecker (Jr., Pasadena, CA) chipped in a hat-trick, while Patrick Buck (Fr., Ann Arbor, MI) and James Greene (Sr., Hillsborough, CA) tacked on pairs of goals in the winning effort.

John Siegfried (Sr., Lafayette, CA) led the way for Oregon with three goals, while Trapper Felt (Jr., La Jolla, CA), Matthew Sillaman (Sr., Riverside, CA), Nate Jessop (Sr., Ashland, OR), Peter Croemlin (Sr., Walnut Creek, CA) and Tom Leech (So., Albuquerque, NM) added solo scores.

Between the pipes, Michael Rico (Jr., San Jose, CA) of Penn and Grant Wasson (Fr., Woodside, CA) of Oregon both made four saves.
